چکیده

Evidence-based practices (EPBs) are the basis upon which teachers and other service providers are required to design educational program for learners with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). As part of the work with the National Professional Development Center on ASD (NPDC), a process was developed for reviewing the research literature and criteria were established for identifying EBPs. In their review, researchers with NPDC identified 24 focused intervention practices having sufficient evidence. The procedures are described for selecting specific EBPs that would be appropriate for addressing specific IEP goals for learners with ASD. The importance of systematic implementation of practices is emphasized.
